Excursions

San Antonio  (6 hour)

Join us for an exciting visit to San Antonio.  Enjoy a leisurely stroll along the Riverwalk or stop in for some lively entertainment and delicious food at any of the famous restaurants along the Paseo del Rio.  Take an open air trolley, graceful horse drawn carriage or relax on one of the river barges and view the sights of the city. Your visit is not complete without a visit to the El Mercado. There is something for everyone in San Antonio.

LBJ Ranch and Fredericksburg  (8½ hours)

Get ready for a memorable experience as you make your way through the Texas Hill Country to the magnificent working ranch of the 36th president of the United States.  Ride a tram through the pasturelands of the "Texas Whitehouse" as you view the home of the Texas longhorns and white tailed deer.  View the one room schoolhouse, Johnson family home and family cemetery located on the banks of the Pedernales River.  Step back in time as you stroll through the Sauer-Beckman Historic Farm.  Then travel to the Old World flavor of Fredericksburg where food, architecture, speech and traditions are a reflection of proud German heritage.  Enjoy shopping in the quaint shops along the square, lunch on your own or visit the famous Nimitz World War II Museum.

Gruene  (5 hours)

Visit the German town of Gruene located in the heart of the Texas Hill country.  Experience some of Texas' finest wines of the Guadalupe Valley and Wimberley Wineries and browse through the unique gift shops located near the winery.

Salado  (4 hours)

Step back in the past as you travel to the unique little country town of Salado.  Once serving as a Stagecoach stop for all the early pioneers, Salado holds many tales of the Old West.  Visit the Central Texas Museum, housed in a two-story rock structure that is over 100 years old and view the relics of our early settlers.  Browse in the fine antique shops located near the Stagecoach Inn on the Old Chisholm Trail.
