Mary Reynolds

has owned and operated Around Austin, Inc. since 1983 and serves as the organization’s President. She has engineered its growth from a sightseeing operation to a full-service, customized special events company with a wide variety of services. The hallmark of Mary Reynolds and Around Austin is a steadfast reputation built on excellent quality, creative events and dependable service. Mary has used her involvement in industry, civic, and personal relationships to build and maintain an impressive list of clients, many of who have become dedicated customers and friends.

Mary recently won the Service to Austin Award given by the Rotary Club of Austin and was honored as co-chair for the Capitol Area Reach Out and Read program in Austin raising more than $50,000 net from their first fundraising Gala for Literacy. Mary believes in giving back to Austin any chance she gets.

Penny Gonzales

re-entered the workforce as an Around Austin tour guide after raising her two daughters. Before coming to Around Austin, she worked as the office manager for oral surgeons and volunteered to arrange special events for her daughters' school activities and band banquets. Since Penny has a real knack for the creative side of event planning as well as coordinating the logistics, she has become the office manager for the company. She handles all aspects of the business as well as the billing and accounting records for the company. Her strengths are her client relations, multi-tasking and communications skills.

Becky Squires

managed associations and planned conferences and events prior to her involvement with Around Austin. She has extensive experience with non-profit associations. Originally from the mid-west, she moved to Texas as soon as she could and has lived in Austin for almost 20 years. Becky particularly enjoys the variety of activities available here. From theatre to hiking--Austin has it all.

Guides and Coordinators

Around Austin's guides and coordinators are highly trained, local professionals. Several of our guides have been with us for over fifteen years. Company guides are able to conduct tours in German, French and Spanish. Other languages can be accommodated by request. As event coordinators, they oversee the logistics of our special events and transportation functions and insure precise and professional sevice for the clients.
